AWARD-WINNING FEATURE FILM Director, Aparna Malladi’s film, Mitsein, features brilliant, colorful imagery through an explorative narrative about marriage, love and being with ones self. The nearly animated world that is captured in Mitsein weaves a subconscious dream-state with reality, providing a unique opportunity for a dynamic musical score, that often takes center stage as a primary story-telling vehicle. I was challenged to come up with a highly original sound for the film, utilizing live ethnic percussion by Jerry Leake, an orchestral string orchestra, custom-built electronics and a myriad of ethnic instruments and textures.
